      Supported by his usual gang of associates, freelance hostage rescue specialist Jonathan Grave is tasked with the exfiltration of a American veteran who is accused of killing fellow agents and giving top-secret information to U.S. foes. The hunt has Grave tracking the combat vet, who in turn is tracking another rogue citizen to the American heartland and a militia called the Uprising. VERDICT In Gilstrap's seventh series outing (after End Game) the weaponry is guns and the technology used to locate the target is primarily cyber. Much of the conflict is ground skirmishes among small groups of adversaries with a few tense moments requiring clever manipulation of potential complications. Series enthusiasts and those who prefer a less graphic presentation of violence are bound to enjoy this new thriller.
